Welcome to NIF "The stairs at NIF go up and down" says the first line of our NIF school song. It refers to the fact that our school used to be an apartment house. ”With every step we take, we make our ground” - the second line of our school song refers to many things at Nuuk Internationale Friskolen (NIF). NIF is a young school trying to take one step after another to position itself as an alternative to Nuuks other schools. NIF is the first International Friskole within Greenland. One of our visions is to ensure all students are given all the support they need to learn and develop in a creative environment. We provide the students with the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and competences that will enable them to prepare for life. Rome was not built within one day and to establish and run a school with a new concept is a very challenging job, demanding commitment and dedication from everybody who is involved in this process. Therefor, NIF is not just a school, it is a community. The school is developing at a fast-pace and to be an employee at the school takes professionalism and the desire to make a difference in everyday school life. We believe in strong partnerships between teachers, parents, students, evidenced by open and frequent communication and by involvement in the life of the school.
