Rules and policies are essential to create a everyday school life and for the smooth running of the school. Furthermore, we want to achieving a comfortable and pleasant environment for all of us - students, staff and visitors. Therefore all students are expected to respect others, be cooperative and take school and school work seriously.

Our school rules
  • be part of school activities
  • respect other students, school staff and others at the NIF by speaking and acting kindly
  • be part of the community
  • respect the schools property (books, furniture etc.) and your classroom
Classroom rules
  • be on time
  • do your school work and homework
  • pay attention in lesson
The following STEPS can be in effect for not following school rules or class room rules:
STEP 1 - Parents are contacted
STEP 2 - Student is suspended for a period of time
STEP 3 - Out-of-school suspension

Consequences increase in severity for each incident

Attendance
If a student cannot attend school, parents are obligated to inform the class teacher via Intranet (ForældreIntra - beskedsystemet) or in form of a written notice.

If additional holiday is required, a written request should be made in advance to the Headmaster.

Electronical devices and toys
Cell Phones are to be turned off during regular school hours. Students are allowed to use cell phones before and after school only. Personal toys are allowed fridays in NUan only.

Non-smoking policy
Smoking is not permitted on the school premises. Find more information: We are a healthy school
